Kodak Scan Station Pro 550
Kodak has taken the Scan Station 500 to another level!
They have started releasing the new Scan Station Pro 550, and it is quite the machine. This new scanner model starts with the Scan Station 500's network capture, but with a new twist. The Pro 550 introduces Kodak's robust Capture Pro software capture solution to this all-in-one workstation-free scanning unit.
What does this mean for you as the user? It means that the Pro 550 allows you to interact with job selection, index data, and much more! Kodak Capture Pro is Kodak's no impression-charge conversion software. Capture Pro makes document centric capture easy for the user by allowing job setup for batch scanning processes (barcode recognition, page setup, OCR, output network locations, etc...). In turn, these job setups streamline training procedures allowing batch scanning to be as easy as pressing a button to change to your favorite radio station.
The Kodak Scan Station Pro 550 allows these same job setups. Once configured, this allows users can walk up to the machine, select a job, scan their documents, and be on their way without the hassle of having to save their files to the company computer/server. The Scan Station Pro 550 comes with the document scanner, shaped exactly like the Scan Station 500, and special kodak Capture Pro application software to configure job setups (Note: This version of Capture Pro was tailored specifically to the touch-screen interface on the Scan Station Pro 550 and differs from full version of Kodak Capture Pro used on other scanners.)
